About IPS Driving School
Driving has long been described as the path to freedom.
I learned to drive when I was 18 years old and have been driving since then.
Having my driving licence gave me freedom, security and opportunities. The freedom to visit friends and places I couldn't get to by public transport.
The freedom to leave when I wanted to without worrying about public transport.
The security to know that I could lock my doors and get through london without worrying who was around me.
Opportunity:
I have travelled all over the UK and Europe by car. I have been the saviour of friends and family by being able to get them to where they needed to go and I have been able to take many job opportunities because I have my driving licence.
But as a wise man once said: With great power comes great responsibilty.
Driving takes a lot of concentration, control and attention.
When you train as a police driver there is a book that you have to study called Roadcraft.
You are taught the "System of car control".
That system has Five stages.
Information, Position, Speed, Gear, Acceleration.
For a learner I felt that Information, Position and Speed. I.P.S. were the most important factors.
I want to teach you to drive well. I want to teach you to read the road and the behaviour of other drivers and to be able to anticipate their actions so that you premept their behaviour.
This is why I became a driving instructor and I hope that I will be able to pass on my knowledge to you so that you have many years of safe and happy driving ahead of you.
